Watching the Park
Jun. 16th, 2020 11:14 amOne of the great things about the condo is the park behind the building which I have a direct window onto. This weekend I saw picnics, what looked like a book group, a child's birthday party, and badminton.
Badminton is not a common activity, but it seems to be the perfect sport for these times. It's slightly silly both to watch and to participate which activates the lungs through laughter. The modern shuttlecocks are soft enough that if they bop a bystander, it's unlikely to cause any level of injury. While a net is required for a serious game, it's not for a backyard or park game. Anyone can play, even someone like me. You can adjust it for the fitness level of the group, too.
