Monday night was good. The PUD passed.
( The rest of the week, until Friday, at least, has sucked. Click here to commiserate. )
The two best parts of Friday, besides being told that the event I was supposed to work today was cancelled, were going out with a friend (we had Pomegranate Hurricanes and Calamari at Cantina Marina) and having someone stop me and say that I was the only one who knew what to do during the earthquake and people should have listened to me.
I got out and bought water, peanut butter, shelf-life soy milk, cereal, kipper snacks, bread, and applesauce as my emergency supplies before the rain came this morning. I have my hand cranked radio with emergency light and my standing flashlight with fresh batteries. I'm prepared for Irene.
