(no subject)

I was called into my boss's office to type an email for my boss. It was to remove an employee from the company directory. The person being removed started the same day as me. She was only about a year older, and we had some great conversations. At the end of October she was moved out to work in one of the field offices, even though her main base was still supposed to be the office across from mine. We called across the hall to each other alot.

When I asked politely if they needed a reason for her removal, I was told to say she was deceased. I heard from another source that she had been dead for a couple of weeks.

I'm devastated. One, I feel like a poor friend that I hadn't spoken to her since before Thanksgiving, but I just figured either I'd end up in the field or she'd be back in the office. Two, it was so very sudden.
