It's 3 a.m.
Jun. 26th, 2009 03:01 amThe lights in the cupola are still on, so at least one house of Congress is still working.
I think this is the first time I've seen it. Even when the financial crisis first struck, back in September, the lights went out at midnight. That was the first time I saw the lights go on all over the congressional office buildings about fifteen minutes later. (I'm on the House of Representatives side of the Capitol.) But a session stretching well past midnight is new to me.
I hope they're debating something worthwhile.
