Genes and Jazz
May. 29th, 2009 09:55 pmEarlier today I walked, went swiming, and had a massage.
Tonight I went to a lecture by Harold Varmus with music by Jacob Varmus. The lecture was maybe a little more advanced than high school biology. The jazz was very good, and I loved the animations of DNA duplication, RNA processing, and protein creation.
Other than the rude woman who kept talking to her boyfriend in the next seat, it was very enjoyable.
Since it was just at the Natural History Museum, I walked home through the twilight. The magnolias and the acacias are both out and sharing their scent with the world. DC is very sexy at this time of year.
It was a good day.
