Euphemisms suck
Nov. 4th, 2008 03:30 pmI have been Downsized.
My last day is December 4. Most of my office's last day is December 4.
I have told them that I would be interested with the other jobs in the company that are open. I am apparently the only American to date (they dropped the boom in their Boston office yesterday and hit Atlanta tomorrow.) to state that I'm willing to take a job in either Europe or India.
The truth is, that I'm happy in DC. If I can find a job here, I will take it.
When I informed the organization that I tutor for that I might not be able to honor the full school year commitment I made, the woman I report to sent me an email with job leads. She's also checking with other tutors to see if there are openings with their organizations.
Keep your fingers crossed that I find something. The energy feels right in DC, so if you feel like crossing your fingers that I get to stay here that's great too.
Hugs to everyone.
And, yes, I'm NOT going to be in London at the end of the month. I just can't afford it.
