Apr. 25th, 2007 11:31 pmOn March 23, I sprained my ankle. I had a cast over the weekend and saw an orthopedist on the Monday who put me in an air cast. The air cast came off yesterday (after 3 weeks of PT), and I am now in a complicated velcro and strap contraption that may be more familiar to the people on my list who are in to rope bondage.
The thing is I like not having the heavy boot on.
The other thing is that my ankle is now free to move, and it HURTS!
I'm looking at 4 to 6 more weeks of PT -- No daily walks, no sunlight because the anti-inflammatories say so, no yoga. I'm going bonkers.
Meanwhile, my job just keeps getting better. Today it was announced that someone who doesn't want the position got a job I am better qualified for and had applied for.
I put in for 3 positions at McGill. I hope that I will be considered for (and get) at least one of them. I'm looking elsewhere. I still haven't heard from the Getty.
Right now, I just want my ankle to feel better. *pouts*
