I dislike rodents. I'll admit that some squirrels can be kind of cute, but they're still rodents so I tend to ignore them.
But there was one that I saw on my walk the other day that was doing something a little odd. So I looked at it to see if I could figure out exactly what it was doing.
I couldn't. Mostly because my body met the pavement as I was looking at the tree rat.
So. It's a level two sprain (some minor ligament tearing), in only one set of ligaments (unfortunately it's the ones on the outside of the foot which puts me at a higher risk for re-injury -- something to do with feet turning out).
I have also spent the weekend and probably the next couple of weeks in Boris Karloff's fashion castoffs. Over the weekend I was in a half-cast with enough wrapping to recover King Tut, and today I'm in an aircast/boot-thing that looks like it was worn by Frankenstein's monster.
The kicker is that it's my right ankle. Not only has it had sprain, torn ligaments, and torn tendons, it's the foot that needs to press down on the accelerator to get me to work.
Stupid Southern California with its inadequate public transportation. *mutters*
