Trip Update
Apr. 23rd, 2006 05:19 pmWe're definitely in the home stretch.
The final night of hotel has been paid for. It's official, Snow and I have someplace to lay our head for every night of the trip.
I also got myself an evening ticket to the Chelsea flower show. Snow wasn't interested, but I've heard about Chelsea all my life and never been. I have a friend who may (or may not) join me, but either way I get to go look at pretty spring flowers and gardens and walk by the Physic Garden and the Christopher Wren military hospital so that's a good evening.
Nothing has been planned for Monday (my birthday) yet. We're considering doing a hop-on/hop-off tourist bus for the day. I know there are places that I would never think of showing to Snow -- either because I don't know about them or because I've been so many times myself -- that this seemed to me to be a good way to go. For instance, I don't think she's particularly interested in St. Paul's Cathedral, but I may be dead wrong. On this kind of trip, all she has to do is pull the cord and we can go see it.
It feels real now.
I talked to Snow this afternoon, and she seems to feel the same way.
