Apr. 20th, 2006 12:18 amThey put both houses on the market tonight. I'm still not entirely certain why.
It's their money and their choice. That part I'm fine with.
While I'm not happy about having to move yet again (this will be my third in a year and fourth in two years), I have no financial stake and therefore little to no say.
What is making me unhappy are the "jokes" about making me live in a storage unit so I don't clutter up the place. The "jokes" about moving without leaving me a forwarding address -- again.
(Yes, they really did it to me my first year in boarding school. One week I hear they're going house hunting. The next week I call home and find the number has been disconnected. Two days later, the new phone number is working, and I get hold of Dad who calls Mom to the phone with "Honey, she found us." He had been trying to tell Mom for a week that they needed to call and tell me about this. Mom was, for some reason, positive I already knew and wouldn't let him call me.)
I've been informed that I will need to have all my stuff packed and ready to go before I leave for London just in case the move comes while I'm there.
They're also requesting neighborhoods that would add enough mileage to my commute that my car insurance is going to be much more expensive.
I need to look for work somewhere else as soon as I get back from London.
