Earlier today I walked, went swiming, and had a massage.

Tonight I went to a lecture by Harold Varmus with music by Jacob Varmus. The lecture was maybe a little more advanced than high school biology. The jazz was very good, and I loved the animations of DNA duplication, RNA processing, and protein creation.

Other than the rude woman who kept talking to her boyfriend in the next seat, it was very enjoyable.

Since it was just at the Natural History Museum, I walked home through the twilight. The magnolias and the acacias are both out and sharing their scent with the world. DC is very sexy at this time of year.

It was a good day.

:) That sounded nicely relaxing. Apart from the rude woman.

Come visit. I'd love to meet you. My Dutch has faded over the past twenty years, but you can at least laugh at my accent. *G*

I'd love to come back to the U.S. again and am thinking of various ways to do so on the cheap (I wonder if I could get free passage on a cruise ship somehow...). If I find a way, visiting D.C. and NYC again will be pretty high on my list, and I'll be sure to let you know about it. :)
