I heard a song earlier today. I couldn't find out who performed it.

The song was "Love for Sale" and there was a horn, vibes, and electric guitar. The vibraharp player was not Milt Jackson. It sounded like late fifties cool jazz other than the electric guitar.

Anybody able to take a guess where I can start my search.

It was a Cole Porter song and has been covered by numerous people.

I've also heard an Elvis Costello version somewhere along the way.

In similar situations, I go through itunes listening to the little 30 second samples seeing if I can hear it. Worth a go?

Yeah. That's what I'm planning to do, but I was hoping to narrow down the field a little. So many vocalists have covered the song that knowing the names of a few instrumental groups that might have this configuration would be a big help.

Too many -- that's the problem. I'm trying to narrow my search a bit. There aren't that many vibes players.

Thank you. Most of them are vocal, but the couple of be-bop versions were interesting.
