Optimism

Today didn't go completely as planned, but since I was alone, it didn't matter.

What caused me great joy and gave me hope were the snow drops I saw in the Haupt Garden near the Smithsonian Castle. I've never seen them on the New Year before, and I think it's cause for celebration.

My only resolution is to find a job that will pay me enough to let me stay in my apartment and pay off my debts (which aren't huge, but I want to be free of obligations). Everything else is gravy. I need to keep a healthy mind and body to do that, but I think things are auspicious on that front at the moment.

My wish for you all is health and happiness in 2009.
