No one told you about Perlman because it's a surprise. Otoh, he's in a lot Del Toro films, so it's not completely out of the blue, either. And wasn't he a fun character, in a really snazzy outfit?

I just got my Yuletide assignment, and yet again it is three fandoms I've never heard of, and one I can write. At least it's not like the year where my match really wanted someone to get eaten by a dinosaur.

I like surprises. (and I really need a Beauty and the Beast icon, though I've like Perlman since "Quest for Fire" and "Name of the Rose.")

I loved that one of the Kaiju was essentially a Pterodactyl!

I got my assignment, and it looks tricky but doable. (Fandom that I love, but debated not offering because canon is intimidatingly well-written such that I do not feel up to Original Flavor. But optional details are compatible with where I feel more comfortable going.)
