Day 28, Gravity

If you see it, please spoil me in the comments. I need to know if they survive. I have issues with falling. There's a sequence in "The Abyss" that I had to walk out of because it was too much for me. (The usher was nice and told me when it was safe to go back in.) At the moment, I can't take something completely nihilistic. So, for everyone, beware, there are likely to be spoilers for the movie in the comments.

Wikipedia has a detailed plot synopsis. Bullock's character survives, Clooney's character sacrifices himself to save her life. It sounds like it is entirely a horror movie -- one terrifying peril after another, with skin-of-the-teeth escapes each time. Does not sound like it's nihilistic, but there doesn't seem to be any deeper meaning or theme to it other than "never give up, and you might survive".

Ah, I should have thought of Wikipedia. I don't think this is one I can see in 3D, but I might want to see it in the theater.

Thank you.

Some people had panic attacks or severe vertigo from the *trailer*, so 3D is definitely out. You might need to wait for it to be out for the smaller screen, depending.

Also an excellent point. This may be one for home viewing.

But it's really beautiful. We live on a lovely planet, when seen from space, and the people circling it have a good view. Also a nice view of stars, when they have the time to look. I'm suggesting it's worth seeing on the big screen in order to *see* it. It was preceded by a trailer for the Ben Stiller version of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," which I am now planning to see just for the scenery.
