Day 17 - Favorite mini series

Hmmm. I was in boarding school while Roots was on, so I never got to see it due to study hall. For me, Shogun and most of the miniseries of the 1980s were movies because that's how they were released in Belgium and Germany.

It feels like cheating to use a British show because, really, it's just that they work TV seasons differently from us.

And The 4400, which I would choose without hesitation, became a full series of its own after the "mini."

Guess I don't have an answer for this.

I highly recommend Lonesome Dove -- the original miniseries, which was an astonishingly faithful adaptation of the book. Brilliant stuff, with an outstanding cast.

I think I have a friend who owns it. I'll see if she'll lend it to me.
