LJ Question

Does anyone know how to get rid of the new home page? I don't want to see recently posted if it's not from my friends list.

Sadly, it looks like LJ just "upgraded" their homepage:

There doesn't seem to be any info on how to modify it. Oh, LJ...

On a completely different note, I almost bought a ticket to DC for the weekend. Virgin America is running an awesome deal for flying out on the 3rd. Sadly, the cost for the return flight on the 5th put it out range due to my current financial situation. Bleh...

Although I would love to see the fireworks with you next year.

The invitation stands. I'm sorry the return fare put it out of your range. *G*

I rarely see the "home page". I just have my friends page bookmarked and go directly to lj from that. If I'm not signed in, I can sign in on the top menu bar.

Otherwise, I dunno.

At home, it's not an issue. When I check from the office, then it becomes a problem.

*sigh*

If you're logged in at work (meaning that your browser retains the login automatically), type:

http://www.livejournal.com/portal/

;) It's the unadvertised user home page.

I just went to look at this based on your post and WTF? The whole page has nothing to do with me anymore. I presume this is suppose to encourage us all to start randomly joining things, but in my case, it's just going to make me bookmark the birthday page and avoid the home page completely. I can post off my profile page, and what else do I really need the home page for, anyway?

I just type Livejournal into Google to check it from my office, that way it's not in my address bar. So that's when I see this hideous new homepage.

Oh wow. I rarely go to the homepage, so I didn't even know it had changed. It was fairly useless before, but now it has almost no relevant info at all.

Yeah. *sigh*
