Beating the tom-toms

One of my colleagues, who is in the same boat I am, has not needed a resume in 16 years.

Is there anyone out there who has a good tech resume, or tech resume template or website that they could send and share. This guy is clueless, and my resume isn't useful for a hardcore crunch-head.

On a personal note, I sent out several applications last night. At one of the websites recommended to me by the lady I work with on the mentor program I found what may be my ideal job. It's secretarial, which means I can put it down at the end of the day. It's in education which means I have all the advantages of a government job. It pays better than my current job, and it's in DC.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me. It would be nice to start the new year on a good note.

I'm still crossing my fingers for you. I would've left a comment on the other entry last night, but I was so tired that I figured I'd say something nonsensical before passing out on the keyboard.

The gov't/edu job sounds great, and if it's in DC, then I say you should get it. It kind of sounds like it was made for you, going by the way you describe it, so I'm crossing my fingers and my eyes in the hopes that it's yours. The job, that is, not my body parts.

Sounds exciting. I hope you get it.

I'm not much help on the resume-thing, I'm afraid.

I hope they see your amazing qualities and hire you!
