There's one called "The Petty Demon" by Sologub which is customarily inflicted in 20th-century lit courses. It's supposed to have some stylistic virtues which I could never appreciate because of the disgusting, mean-spirited characters. It wasn't accessible either, so I had to waste reader time on this thing and never did get to finish it. Boo hoo. Actually, this is heresy, but I was never crazy about "Notes from Underground" either, and I had to keep re-reading parts of it because my mentor was really itno it.
