The new money is ODD. I got my first 2010 penny today and I had play money when I was little that felt more real. The dollar may not be worth much, but I'd like to at least feel like the currency isn't made by some yahoo with a tin can press in their basement.
The only thing I can remember about him (thank you NJ public schools) is that he was the lead general during the Mexican-American War. Which, given the current froth of the immigration debate, may mean someone in the Mint is rabble-rousing. Or just has an interesting sense of humor.
I only really know him from the fantastic 'Medicore Presidents' song from The Simpsons that Bart and his class sing as part of their school show. And which this news has actually now spoiled a bit:
"We are the medicore Presidents/ You won't find our faces on Dollars or on Cents/ There's Taylor, there's Tyler, there's Fillmore and there's Hayes/ There's William Henry Harrison! ('I died in 30 days!') We are the adequate/ Forgettable/ Occasionally regrettable/ Caretaker presidents of the U! S! AAAAA!
Teddy Roosevelt...Rough Rider, National Parks, Mt. Rushmore. 'Nuff said. Zachary who? (Yes, I know he was a President..but that's about it).
Speaking of 'Presidents on our Money'..I watched Ken Burns' "The Civil War" on DVD not too long ago, and the next time I had to check a $50 bill to make sure if was okay, it was like..."Wow...Grant!" because they used the same image on the bill in the series a lot. Good General, not so good President.

I was in a bar once by the Alamo where Teddy Roosevelt recruited his roughriders (or so legend has it). So... yeah... no Google needed. ;-)
Btw, did you get your hotmail password changed?

How about Harry Truman, or John Adams....
