Of course the study wasn't performed on US kids, so there could be differences in reaction. Here's my major moves before the age of 21 (when we returned to the US. I spent a year before going back to London for 2 years, then Mannheim for two years, followed by Brussels for two years.).

st move @ 10 days old, from WA to CA

nd move @ 18 months old from CA to DC

rd move @ 3 years from DC to Saigon

th move @ 3 years from Saigon to CA

th move @ 4 years from CA to DC

th move @ 6 years from DC to London

th move @ 8 years from London to CA

th move @ 8 years from CA to VA

th move @ 9 years from VA to DC

th move @ 15 years from DC to VA

th move @ 17 years from VA to Brussels

No wonder I made my first suicide attempt at 16. It wasn't a good attempt, but still. Also, only one move was into a war zone, so that's got to be a plus. None of this includes internal moves in the same city, though, to be fair, I had more of those once I returned to the US when I was 28.
