I've been thinking a lot about early-season Smallville recently - another show I really need to make use of the internet's infinite illegal generosity to, uhm, allow me to revisit. So fabulous back then! It set a beautiful rainbow bar that pretty much no other show since then has been able to reach, let alone pass. Damn, I miss Lex: so ambivalkent, so beautiful, so doomed.
