Over at Salon

A letter writer named ClockworkSmurf referred to Harry Potter as "a gateway drug for geekery."

I love that phrase.

Also, they provided a link to The Independent's article on the death of Titus the gorilla.

And on The Washington Post we have a note that there will be an announcement Monday on net neutrality.

*snort* That's a good phrase, but I can't seem to apply it to Harry Potter. ;)

That's sad news about Titus. I'd just seen a Discovery or Animal Planet program with Sigourney Weaver going back to visit the clan of apes she'd previously worked with in the film. I don't remember if Titus was one of them, but I'm glad she's keeping up on the clan.

I've been receiving policy posts about Net Neutrality news. The people who rail about "government" interfering with private enterprise seem to forget/ignore that lack of government regulation against corporate greed and interference is the reason this country is in the huge-ass mess it's in.

Titus was Digit's nephew and was in the movie.

That's right. Thanks for reminding me. Gorillas in the Mist was an outstanding movie, too.
